Welcomes and Introductions

Greetings and salutations to all those searching for the funny. I have taken this opportunity and free webspace to put forth the creative efforts that have taken up some of my time for the past months.  In the coming weeks expect to see more posts regarding these wonderful characters and their exploits as they attempt to move into the next phase of their lives.

Today I will start with a simple introdution of some of the characters so you know what to expect from day to day.

Randy
After graduating from a four year university with a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree, Randy has found that the real world is not quite as accommodating as he would have liked. Now as he trudges along from one job to another, one thing is very clear, he will never resort to wearing that "noose" of a necktie in order to keep what society has dubbed the ideal job.

Incredibly outgoing, Randy will go well out of his way to make everyone feel included. Unfortunately, this usually leads to Randy having to remove his size 12 shoe from his very big mouth.

Ryan

The responsible member of our menagerie, Ryan has finished school with his MBA, and now pays the price by being shackled to his desk. Day in and out, no one really knows what Ryan does at his office. When asked he simply states "I'm a consultant. You know that," at which the group usually responds, "...yeah....but what do you DO!?"

Good hearted and always positive, Ryan would never think ill of his superiors. However, with the sudden economic calamity he has begun to wonder if his old comic book collection will help to
bolster his floundering 401k.

Mike

Mike has been attending college of one form or another for the better part of a decade without graduating. Though he has enough credits accumulated to graduate with several masters degrees, he
still feels the need to press forward and see exactly where mom and dad's pocket book snaps shut.

Intelligent to a fault, Mike's quips regarding Plato's Republic often fall short of their desired mark amidst the group. But such discussions should normally be held off until after one finishes his
coa-coa puffs.

Dustin

After seeing his friend Randy not find a steady job after graduating, and seeing Mike not wanting to ever leave, Dustin decided to slowly back away from the college route and hope for the best.

If any one man could bear the full brunt of a smiting by thegods, it would have to be Dustin. Aside from his favorite sports stars retiring, then coming back and retiring again, Dustin must also spend his time dodging rampaging desert vendors. When last seen, Dustin was heard saying "What next, a semi-incurable neuromuscular disease?" followed by, " Damnit!"

Now that you've met the gang, enjoy the antics and look forward to posts as often as possible.

Much love and respect

R
